Environmental Public Health Services

Nodaway County Health Center conducts regular inspections of food service establishments, lodging establishments, and day care facilities.  The type and amount of food prepared determines the frequency of inspections. Food handler classes are offered at Nodaway County Health Center on the first Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm. Please call for information.

Nodaway County Health Center issues permits for construction and major modifications or repairs to single family home on-site wastewater systems and facilities generating less than 3000 gallons of wastewater per day utilizing 19 CSR 20-3.060 Minimum Construction Standards for On-Site Sewage Disposal Systems.

West Nile monitoring is provided by trapping mosquitoes at various sites in Nodaway County and submitting to laboratory for testing throughout the summer months.
